Our established one year programme offers successful applicants the chance to be part of an innovative public sector organisation, experience responsibility and a variety of work activities all whilst while working towards an industry recognised qualification

We welcome applications from 16-19 year-olds, or up to 29 if you identify as disabled or care- experienced. 

About the role

During your placement within the Service Delivery Team, you will gain hands-on, practical experience in an IT support role within a public-sector organisation to expand and develop your transferable skills. This role offers an excellent entry point for individuals seeking a career in IT.

You will provide administrative and technical support to business areas across Qualifications Scotland and communicate with other teams and external customers. You will gain hands-on, practical experience in a dynamic public-sector organisation over your year’s placement to expand and develop your skills. 

Responsibilities

• Providing a high level of customer service, by responding to queries quickly and accurately, and building and maintaining positive customer relationships. 
• Following administrative procedures and using Microsoft applications and organisational systems. 
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing and recommending improvements to administrative and technical procedures and systems. 
• Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information, ensuring information is up to date, stored securely and readily accessible.

Entry criteria

There are no formal entry requirements but an interest in IT would be beneficial.
